poster boy for the skid row bound
the dark is where my soul is found
the gutter is where my mind is lost
i press self destruct and ignore the cost

consequences are far away
i'll deal with them another day
my flesh is dying on my bones
but there's still time to change

the burnout king of stoner pride
there are no feelings left inside
an empty soul, a reckless mind
a threat to the good of all man kind

the future transient hero
the junkies golden calf
it might be too late later on
for now i'll sit and laugh

i haven't been on in a long while because my computer blew up and i've been trying to look for a job for money to replace it. people don't hire burnouts though...

The economy sucks too. Ever sense the 9/11 myth, jobs have been hard to come by. (Good Job, that is!) A good friend of mine just became a burrito builder.

Your poem, I always hate them the first time I read them. They grow on me. What makes me frightened is their odd familiarity to what I encountered after dropping out of college.
