The Thorn(#2)
To whom do you turn
When you need to save yourself
From yourself?
To whom do I turn
To stop myself from hearing
My own thoughts in my mind
How many mirros
Must I break
Before my reflection
Stops staring back at me?
How many times
Must I cry my inside out
Before I finally die?

I came to the point where I could not go on. It seems similar to the questions you posed. I had been a skeptic for so long that I had nothing to believe in. I tried religion, and loved ones, best friends, and philosophies. My skepticism broke everything in my life. All I had left was myself.

There's the question. It hits you in the face. And you keep wanting to say that you're the one after all. But you can't. There is this doubt. Deep inside you know you'll fail. Deep within you is some pain, some scar, hatred.
You look at yourself in the mirror and you don't even know who you are anymore. The only thing you can do is believe that the person you're staring at in the mirror is really you.
Believe in yourself.

Silke...
Bring me down when I’m floating away
Criticize me when I’m strong
Give me the right
Not to always be right
But correct me when I’m wrong
Speak of my beauty when I’m looking my worst
But give me a mirror when I’m speaking myself
Don’t interfere with my bad habits
But please do care about my health
If you do that for me
I’ll do that for you
Then we both have a friend
To get us through
