The light of day dwindles
As we sit sprawled on the sand
Deep red sunlight rolled in spindles
Blue water meets the land
Kisses tease my flesh
Your hands linger on my skin
Our bodies gathered like mesh
The song of love begins
No words are needed between us two
We understand what now must come
Saying goodbye is all there's left to do
Closure brought by the setting sun
I look into your eyes once more, the moon the only light
You kiss me softly, wipe my tears, and say to me "Goodnight"

This is an exquisite and perfectly-formed sonnet, and I like to think I know a thing or two about sonnets. As a veteran sonneteer, I salute you, and give you my blessing that you are indeed a sonneteer of the first rank.
Soon, all things poetic will be split off from this site, and we will be moving. Will you come with us? It could be really exciting, and fun, and meaningful. You could be some sort of moderator there, in our exile.
I am still not absolutely clear about what is happening, but the site is dividing like a cell, and all things poetic will be going another way, under another name. I will have more authority there, in the new incarnation of these poetry pages. I would be happy to share some of that with you, and with our other leading poets.
I do love your sonnet. Come with us into our exile, our future, into our new site, whatever it will be called. I have a feeling it will all work out to be wonderful, and redound to our benefit, after all.
A stranger in a stranger land, I wonder as I wander, homeless but not hopeless, lonely but not alone.

Awwe.
Well now isn't this one of the sweetest sonnets ever? I like it!
Blessed Be!

Knowing more now about our future plans for the site since I last posted in this thread, Misty, I should clarify a bit and tell you that our future here is very secure and very good. There will be changes, but only good changes. I don't want to spoil the element of surprise, but very soon we will have a greatly expanded and enhanced poetry place, and it will be very nice. I'm excited about it!
I love your sonnet, Misty, more each time I read it.
As you may have noticed, I am quite fond of sonnets...
