Young man what is important in this life
What you must seek and what I hope you find
Is one pure-hearted girl to be your wife
To care for you to comfort to be kind
When all else in this world has passed away
When it is just you two alone someday
When everyone has turned against you and
Your life is running through your fingers down
Away from you with nothing in your hand
But running sand and you look like a clown
That is when the test comes when you are sad
When all your worldly schemes have come to nought
You did what was easy not what you ought
But true love is revealed when life turns bad
