[B]Natural Supplement Regiment:

For a while, ive been researching natural supplements because im currenlty on a quite a bit of meds, and i want to switch over slowely to smart drugs, herbs or supplements. I posted on the psychopharmocolgy forum my medications im on, but im slowely attempting to eliminate those one at a time.
Currently iv been taking several natural substances which i will touch base on:
1. 5htp 100mg
2. Sam-E 400-800mg
3. Rhodiola rosea 340mg
4. Acetl l-carnitine 500-1000mg
5. D,L Phenylalanine 400mg
6. Focus Formula (containing B-Vitamins, Lecethin, DMAE, Siberian Ginseng, Gingko Biloba, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Gotu Kola, Vinpocetine, Huprazine A)

#1. 5htp, A seratonin enhancer which actually produces seratonin in the brain. I was on zoloft for 2 yrs, which average results, but i figured, if one doesnt have enough seratonin to "block the reuptake" i may benifit from more seratonin being producted. Again, i just started this substance, and hope to see good benifits.

#2. Sam-E, A natural medication i call it, which is actually a perscription medication in European Countrys. Same has multi uses. For one it acts as an anti-depressant, by Enhancing Seratonin, Dopamine, Norepinephrine. Also, briefly it is a great liver protectant and joint protectant. There are also many other studies done on same with positive benifits.

#3. Rhodiola Rosea, this plant adaptogen to be brief, reseach shows it to have opiate peptide properties, thus beta endorphan enhancement. Also, possible seratonin properties, while lowering dopamine. This may be responsible for the antidepressant and anti-anxiety effects. It is fairly new on the market and has yet to be studied and tried out.

#4. Aceyl l-carntine: This susbtance basically is a precursor to Aceytlcholine neurotransmitter in the brain, responsible for memory. Also, research claims it has mood enhancement properties. ALC also has numerous other benifits that would take up 2 pages!.

#5. Focus Formula: This product may be a great natural product to replace add medication. With the help of acetylcarnitine , and the multi- ingredience mentioned above, it seems to be very promising. I wont go into the breakdown of each ingredient in this formula, but from the ingredience listed, they all work in combonation with eachother to improve ones memory, focus, mood, and cognitive enhancement.

#6. D,L Phenylalanine: This Amino Acid, Both d and L formula, are precursors to the bodys own natural endorphans, or opiates (natural pain killers). Also good to take with an opiate to boost/enhance the opiate. Especially for one, like myself, coming off opiates, this amino hopefully should kick back in my natural pain killing chemicals (endorphans).

#7. S1 Testosterone Spray (1-testosterone and 4-androdiol) A double wammy when comes to increasing the bodys testosterone levels. ALso, increase testosterone leads to ones better state of well being. Also, Within a week already, i can notice more of a better muscle " pump" , energy, strength and muscle bulk.

#8. B-Complex 50mg: B vitamins are essential for proper nerve function, brain function, and many other uses. Especially taking B- Vitamins with Same helps boost Same levels in the blood. Again, i wont break down each b vitamin, but each has its own positive turnabout.

Well there you have it. Again, im not scientist, or even have a 4 yr degree. Just researching via the internet , gathering as much information i can, and utilizing the trial and error theory. Over the past 5 yrs, i must have taken 100 different supplements, and maybe 5 worked great. Yes there are alot of products out there touted to do this and that, but i realize you must research and find out for yourself what works best for your own body.

Thank you for your time

And of course, you didn't mention a single side-effect or consider the interactions with any prescription drugs that interested parties may be on. Let's get smart.
