In his book The Soul's Journey, Lawrence Edwards, Ph.D. -- a
transpersonal psychologist who has experienced Kundalini --
writes: "Even within the most bound forms of the physical realm the
full power and presence of God, of Divine Consciousness, are
present. The release of that bound energy is like the release of the
potential energy bound in matter that suddenly results in the
extraordinary power and light of nuclear reactions. The awakening of
the Kundalini is the release of the bound Power and Light of God
present within the human form."

Kundalini poisoning is not likely to cause those symptoms.

I am not sure but I think it would relate to imbalances of energy and the impact of that on hormones to create visions and/or the faulty interpretation of same.

as it is written, for those who follow the path of K., the treasure in the anteroom (bliss) is guarded by a snake. [see also Walt Disney, Alladin, et al.] Weather the snake is the treasure or attachment to that treasure is after some thousands of years still subject to debate. and this is all only in the antechamber to Nirvana (trans: the great symbol). K., as defined in this thread, then would seem to be the reinvesting of the bliss obtained by reverential self-absorption into two simultaneous emotional configurations- purely physical response to one's physical, karmic, emotional situation (which means using bliss to act fearlessly), and (2) the concrete realisation of our emotions, including bliss, as abstractions or essences of other more real experiences. K. yoga is practiced to slow down and focus within this "mood" on real problems of the body mind relationship.
i could get more detailed if anyone cares

Awakening Kundalini,
My first awareness of an energy deeply pleasurable and elusive was through masterbation at age twelve. I was very intent on holding that pleasure with my mind and making it last. Until I was twenty I searched for those times when the energy was incredable and I became other. At age seventeen I discovered how when making love I could just blend with my partner if everything was just right. I married at twenty and shortly afterward taught myself to stop the flow of words in my head. I learned to think in a bigger format without words. Due to dyslexia I had learned to visualize both creatively and spacialy. This silence of the mind gave me the ability to travel consciously within my body directing focus and energy to wherever my interest lay. It was not long before the thought crossed my mind that if I could concentrate on the sexual energy that I could create an orgasm without masterbation.. After 6 months of intense practise and playing on the edge of something incredable I had a mind blowing experience. I had never heard of kundalini but I had a full awakening in the early fall just before my 23 birthday.
I knew I was close to something realy powerfull. I was using long slow breaths holding for a comfortable duration on either end. I brought my awareness into a different capacity. I no longer went from one energy center of the body to the next instead I creating a awareness and willful intent on all the energies at once. I built the energy up through flexing my whole body flexing every muscle at once. My practise of flexing the muscles at the root of the penis had built up those muscles visably enlarged. I held this flex as long as I could and then relaxed falling through the floor in a "conscious of every part of me" way. I could exist in intense pleasure for long periods and more intense then an orasm, but I suspected there was an edge and spent most of every night trying to force through the barrier. The awakening finaly came not in the cycle of force but rather the cycle of surrender.. The energy just took over as my whole body viberated with energy a hot liquid flowed into my head with a matalic tast and the need to vomit. It boiled into my third eye and brainand I was enveloped in pleasure beyond discription. My being was undulating light without limit nor direction and beautiful to behold. My world has never been the same after this forty min. of cosmic bliss.
There was no pain only pleasures through my awakening. I had no support for the transitions that followed and It was three years before I met a yoga teacher who told me what I had experienced was kundalini. There is not one piece of my soul that has not undergone the fires of transformation. My intellect was be laboriously reprogramed to be free of limitations of beliefs and to function not as self but as an instrument of self. My childhood had left deep and numerous scars emotionaly and most of the pain I have endured has been my resistence to emotional healing. Kundalini increases personal energy and emotional trauma must be recognized and released or damage from cumpulsive behaviour will manifest in dramtic ways. The upside of emotional healing is when emotions are freed from holding patterns they become freefloating feelings capable of sensing the pulse of the life force around you. This is where extrasensory powers come from. I hope this helped answer your questions.
I had no fear at the beginning but I had lived through abuse and feared nor felt anything. I did not fear and run until three years after my awakening when I realized my own divinity which came into direct conflict with my feelings and devotion to " lack of self worth". I went to sea for years tring to hide from myself and others. I could not avoid the experince of oneness in whatever I did. I experience a divine force that does the work to an incredable level of perfection no matter what I tackle. From joinery in a wooden boat, to navigation, to driving a car. I was forty years old before I had any recognition of the impotence of emotions. I feared them more then life itself. I am very gratefull for the help I had in doing this emotional piece and the deep inner peace I have come to know.
A State of Being is more then an awareness of everything around you. It is also a creative process of becoming the crative force itself, as ego releases its most cherished belief that ego is self and without it you would die. As to pain I experience pain and pleasure but simply allow them to bewithout manipulation of will or intent apon them. I have multible injuries such as breaking my neck back and ripping my left foot off. These along with a host of other less significant injuries from a life of high adventure and hard work provide with endless pain but I also live in bliss. I am not attatched to either the pain or the bliss. I smile a lot as I am happy and have much love from the people and many animals in my life.
Peace and love

I wonder if the experiences described above have any relation to chemicals used for consciousness expansion.

i am in knowledge of this
i have study bunch of book about this topic
the kundalini is like and awakening of chakas within the body,
each chakras are energy points(Chakras are the glands)
when each chakra stimulates the kundalini or sometimes
they say its like a snake the rises from the tail bone all the way to the
center of the head. an experience that will bring total awakening.
There are three types of poeple
dead walking, sleeping walking and awake walking
dead walking is dead people but still walking in diferrent dimension
sleeping waking are living people who havent self realize themselve and are living
not according to their flow but to the flow of the world, say they are not in control.
third is awake walking those who are in control they know what they want in life
and they seek it and get it, they are satified with who they are and they are in total awake
of life, they feel inner bliss and enjoy life.
