I just finished implementing an anti-bot script to protect Mind-Brain.com from malicious bots, spiders, crawlers and website copiers. Just a few days ago, when I happened to begin monitoring a few new pages on the site, it became evident to me that these malicious agents were a big problem. For example, I observed some bots accessing hundreds of pages in just a few seconds! In any event, I have written up and already implemented a script that will automatically ban anyone (or anything) that tries to access too many pages too quickly.

Human visitors should not have to worry about this because even if you were clicking on Mind-Brain.com links as fast as possible, it would still be far below the banning threshold (which was set to target these malicious agents which try to access hundreds of pages in a few minutes). However, I just thought I'd make everyone aware of this, just in case.
