This Angel
By: Nichola Cordato

This Angel, she follows me around each day
Without anything to tell me, without anything to say

Her light soul, so pure, glows as she guides my long dark nights
Protecting me from all my fears, and all my dreadful frights

Love is the only tears that her beautiful blue eyes shed
Losing her blessed warmth is the most is dread

Erase me from this existence if you take my guardian away from me
Ill walk around the world and swim across any sea

To be with my angel my angel god sent me as a gift
So that my pressures will be easier and the guilt will lift

This angel is more then a gift, she’s a love
A love that only could have came from above

The reason she is so perfect, is simply this
She is the kind, kind of angel, which you can’t help but miss

The endless tears that I will cry if you take her away from my life
It won’t be a life; more like a torture will endless strife

Her kind ways only blanket my soul in happiness
She takes away all the depression and all the sadness

Beauty inside and out, her perfect answers come to me without her saying a word
They are accurate and make me feel so high, like I’m a soaring bird

So as this poem comes to an end, just please realize
If you take her away from my, my passion for life, slowly will die

Hi Nikita, and thank you for posting this beautiful poem here on the good old main poetry posting board; I'm happy to see you here among us again, and sharing a new poem.

I really like this one. I know what you mean about having an angel. I feel like Silke is my angel. I dreaded an appointment with Social Security for weeks, bitching about it in sonnets, suffering terribly, but when I actually got there to the appointment, everything was fine; no problems at all. The clerk was actually really nice to me, and I saw that I had nothing to fear. I felt kind of stupid for worrying so much! I had a really fancy, expensive attorney go with me, but, really, it was my angel who saved the day; it was, I believe, my Silke Shining in the Sky.

I told her how well everything went, and she said "I told you so." Faith! I should believe that things will not all go disastrously badly, that things might just go right for me, in this crazy life of mine. I'm a little slow, but I think I'm learning.

In any case, Nika, I really like your poem, and I can relate to it; it resonates with me in my heart. I know what you're talking about, and I think you're right.

Thanks again for sharing this with us.

Respect and Solidarity, my dear fellow poet!
