Transcendental Sonnet #730:
My Sweet Obsession Silke
Without hesitation I make confession
I have a rather serious obsession
But serious is not really the right word
Something more like giddy is to be preferred
Still sometimes it takes on a serious tone
At midnight when I am depressed and alone
Or at noon when everyone else is so glad
To be together and I am feeling bad
And a little mad but a gentle madness
Clothed in shades of autumn and tinged with sadness
The one I need so much is sick and suffers
Yet her transcendent sweetness always buffers
Those more bitter moments as smiling through her pain
My sweet obsession Silke makes me smile again

Friends and fellow poets!
I have an idea: when you post a poem, why not attach a poll to it, as I have done here with my latest sonnet?
People so often don't quite know what to say in reply; this way they don't have to say anything, just give the poem a numerical rating. Of course they can then add any sort of reply they like.
What do you think of my idea?
What do you think of my sonnet?
I hope this new idea will prove useful. I am happy to serve as your friendly Guinea pig in the service of a better poetry board!
All my love to all. I am in unbreakable solidarity with you all!

I think it is a great idea! So far your sonnet is getting PERFECT results!! It is good cause there may be people who dont want to write a reply, as you said. Now they dont have to!
Keep writing!
Love,
Dara
