Transcendental Sonnet #729:
On a Bad Night After a Bad Day

So what have I to show for this horrible day?
I have proven that I am unable to say
The right thing but that I am quite capable of
The wrong thing especially to the one I love

I told you I was an idiot at the first
And now have I proven it and shown you my worst?
I was only licking my wounds and trying to
Survive until the next time I could hear from you

How hard it is to wait
To find out what my fate
Will be! To me it seems better to die
Than to have fallen so low from so high

Come Silke then and have mercy
Put me out of my misery

Aww, If I didnt hear from you today and know all is well, I would be very sad reading this poem. BUT, thankfully, things are going to be ok. Just keep hold of your love and never doubt it for a minute. Even when times are rough, ok?

Love,
Dara

Hiya Dara, hiya sis...

Yeah, I know...

Well, it's a very good day today, and I'm really embarrassed about these sad sonnets now; it was all in my head, and I feel like an idiot.

Silke's the best there is or ever was, the best little girl in the world. I don't deserve her, but I have her. She's so sick, so fragile. I just need her to get well. I want to make her happy. I've got to try to write something nice now, which will remind her again how much I love her. The book should be on my doorstep from FedEx tomorrow; that'll be a great joy. It's all beautifully edited and looking sharp now, I'm told. That will be a great milestone in my life.

Thanks, Dara, for putting up with me, for loving me, and for being the best sister and friend anyone could ever have.
