Atop a cement esplanade
on a June Thursday,
begging change from
the SUVs turning left,

the leftovers of a cardboard box reads,
"Need food,
Anything helps,
God Bless,"

a man in a wheel chair.
His pelvis lets loose
one limb,
his right thigh wiggles on
the end of the seat, and
falls short of a leg.
The knee glides
effortlessly,
sweat driping around
scars on a stub that was once
a leg.
Yeehaw!
Well done, snowflake.
Just for the fun of sarcasm, consider retitling; "A Leg Up".
Write on.
