Full Version: Have not love?

School is out and so am I
The semester swifted by;
Goodbye came before the Hi
And the end before the try.

My years pass fourteen by six
With off and on twelve by eight;
And the knowledge doesn't fix
My load but just adds on weight.

In all of my mind's "progress"
Other's cares are left behind;
Causing my heart to transgress
Against those who are most kind.

I would rather eat a book
As to take it fully in;
Than to be caught on a hook
Of pride causing me to sin.

If I do not have love
Then what is it to gain;
For what else is lasting
It is to labor in vain.

All things will fade away,
The world more still each day;
But Jesus love endureth forever,
The truth will be made not to see decay.
