Transcendental Sonnet #715:
I Hate the Republicans
I had a good doctor they took him away
I sent him sonnets he wrote notes to me
If I want to see him now I have to pay
Just another reminder I must be
Held down at the bottom of society
It is inappropriate that I should see
Such a good doctor in a needs-based program
I must be reminded how little I am
And what after all does the word "nothing" mean?
Is that my name along with "parasite"?
I am what I am not what I might have been
I am always wrong they are always right
I hate the Republicans with all my heart
I write despite them as they destroy my art

A few points:
I write a lot because this is what I do with my life. I am a poet, a professional poet. I am Poet in Residence in this forum which, as you will recall, Dara and I began in January of 2003 here on my friend Shawn's site. Shawn is the owner of the site, and he is pleased with my work. My role here is to do exactly what I am doing, and those who do not have some sort of ax to grind against me, as you apparently have, tell me I do what I do well. I never receive complaints except from you in your various incarnations.
However many poems I post, there is always room for everyone else. Space in the forum is not finite. When I post, I do not take away space from you. Our space is unlimited here. I work very hard to make this poetry board the very best it can be, and the very best I can make it. It is important to me, and very serious business for me. At my age and stage of life, I want to really do well at something. This takes nothing away from you; on the contrary, I try to make things good here for everyone by working my hardest, doing my best, setting a high standard of serious effort.
I write these sonnets of mine to entertain Silke. She is terribly sick with cancer and heart disease, and my sonnets make her feel better. I will keep right on doing this, and it is not for you to tell me to stop. Silke and I support this site financially. Do you?
I do in fact have a book, with 632 sonnets and a few hundred other poems in it, on 514 pages with a 23 page table of contents. A link to it is provided below, should you be curious. I am also writing a second book now. Why is this not OK with you? And, do I really need your permission?
One more thing: your statement which you include in your signature, which reads:
"The jews are the men that will not be blamed for nothing"
is profoundly offensive to me. At least you are spelling "jews" a little better now; I recall a time when you had the word spelled "juwes." But why this statement about Jewish people in the first place? It makes you sound like a Nazi or something. As a person with Jewish blood, I find this anti-Semitic statement profoundly hurtful.
I will continue to write and post my sonnets, I will continue to serve to the best of my ability as Poet in Residence, I will continue to support this site financially, and I will continue to be part Jewish, with or without your permission.

Steven,
I think that you have committed no wrong doing by writing and posting often. I for one, enjoy all of your sonnets and I look foward to coming to our site to read them. The Mind-Brain forum is amongst the best on the internet, so many of us are here to read, write and post. As far as I know, there are no limits on the amounts of posts people can put here in a day!
I love you,
Dara

No, I'm a Lutheran.
I only belong to the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod (since 1973), and to the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (since 1980); no political parties.
I am registered to vote in the USA as "Decline to State." I always vote, by mail, as liberally as possible. Just because I hate the Republicans doesn't mean I'm a communist.
Geez, I wish I could just write and post my sonnets around here! Don't you kids have stuff to do? Mine do; my thirteen year-old son, Teddy, is very active on his own poetry site. Not flaming other poets, but actually writing and posting his own poems. One of his recent poems is called "My Father is a Great Man," and, yes, it's about me. And he mentions my politics, too.
Solidarity.
