Born in 1946 I've watched it all pass by. Don't be victimized a second time by today's self-professed experts on abuse or you'll be a victim all your life. The psychology establishment out there are just like anyone else. They gotta pay the rent. Beware. Survivor means to-survive not sit around feeling sorry for yourself hoping someone cares. Nobody does. Get smart,get tough and do it fast. I did.

It sounds like something must have happened to cause you to feel no one cares? do you want to talk about it? I have been one of those Lucky survivors who have had therapist who truly do care, and yes they do have to pay the rent and we must keep in mind that what they do is a profession but that doesn’t mean they are all out of the mighty Dollar. But yes they are human and some make mistakes, but we can’t lose sight of the fact that some are in this profession because they want to help, and they do care. Therapist are like clothes they are not a one size fits all, sometimes we have to find the one that fits us!

I know it is hard, for many of us the therapist/ experts are the first people we allow in, the only people we have ever trusted, and maybe we expect too much from them? I guess it is hard to understand what you are going through without knowing why you feel the way you do. Know that you are not alone and that people DO care. Don’t give up on people. We all need to have a support system.
