Blue Moon Cheese

Green Moon Cheese just will not do
The color of the Cheese it must be Blue.
Give us what we ask and save the day.
We need it in two weeks, oh by the way.

Blue Moon Cheese is what you say
It can be done, but we must pay.
Here is a writ of what we need
If we are ever to succeed .

The Great Prognosticator has denied your writ.
Its cost is beyond what he saw fit.
A rope and ladder we ordered instead
It will do the job, just use your head.

A rope and ladder just will not do
If the color of the Moon Cheese must be blue.
The Great Prognosticator must be wrong
A ladder's too short and a rope's not strong.

The Great Prognosticator thinks you're lazy
Either that, or just plain crazy.
A rope and ladder will get the job done
They will be here in two weeks plus one.

Two weeks plus one! You must be mad.
We need the writ now for blue to be had
We will do our best to get the job done
But we can not wait two weeks plus one.

You let us down! Oh what shame!
It's all your fault, you are to blame!
We ordered you the rope and ladder
But you let us down; what could be sadder.

What you were told you did not do
or the color of the Moon Cheese would be Blue.
But now our Chief will have to dine
on Green Moon Cheese with his fine wine.

Oh, by the way
Your rope and ladder came today.
