Transcendental Sonnet #643:
Paradise for Two

Do you ever feel so close to me
That despite the distance through the miles
A shared intimacy comes to be
Known only to us but for our smiles?

The mystery of you and me transcending sea
Traversing land as hand in hand we understand

The power of absolute love brings
Into the realm of possibility
The relativity of all things
For those who truly love are truly free

Thus through this distance we discover
Wonders we might otherwise not see
As we are drawn so we recover
Paradise for two for you and me

Ben, I want to thank you for your encouragement, and also for your beautiful reply to a post of Silke's earlier; we both appreciate your sharing with us. I am so happy my sonnets mean something to you!

I have the happiest possible reason for not getting this sonnet finished yet: I have just been having a really fun conversation with the dedicatee herself, my muse and my mermaid, Silke. I'll finish it the best I can as soon as I can, and it will be growing here in this space above quite soon, I'm sure. I sincerely appreciate your interest in and support of my work.

We are in unbreakable solidarity together, always.
