Transcendental Sonnet #615:
No Witnesses

So they have failed us failed us one and all
Betrayed us lied to us and sold us out
They back away from us the poor and small
With no idea of what life is about

These cowards think if they abandon us
To our apparent fate then they are free
Of any inconvenience any fuss
Arising from the deaths of you and me

Let us be butchered fine and that is life
Just please let them be spared the blood the strife

For somehow we deserve it after all
If we attract such evil we must die
Now quietly as fits the poor and small
To save the lies our witnesses live by

Hey Steve !

First read gave a hint, second reading gave a hit
Am I looking too deep ?

Great work, my cap is now doffed !
