Transcendental Sonnet #610:
Tender Tornado

Heavy thinking heavy drinking living dying
Live or die it wouldn't be for lack of trying
But do I try to live or do I try to die?

Consciousness remains problematic for me I
Find it painful to be alive and to persist
So when the winds of death blow I do not resist

Yet a new and unexpected wind is blowing
As in the sunshine of the spring a tender girl
Has given me her fragile heart and it's growing
To a tender tornado as upward I whirl

This erstwhile old and broken victim of despair
Is smiling at the sky and feeling seventeen
Despite how far I've fallen all the hell I've seen
In Silke I see heaven and you'll find me there
