WHERE IS YOUR HEART !?


YOU KNOW THE HEART I AM TALKING ABOUT
THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL
THE ONE THAT HURTS WHEN SOMEONE DIES
THE ONE THAT REMINDS YOU, WHAT IS REAL

IS IT THE ONE WITHIN YOUR TORSO ?
BECAUSE THAT IS VERY EASY TO FIND
NO, THE ONE I REFER TO IS MORE ILLUSIVE
ITS THE ONE GOD PUT IN YOUR MIND

GOD, HOWEVER YOU PERCEIVE HIM/HER/IT
HAS TAUGHT YOU ALL, HOW TO BE
TEACHING YOU ALL RIGHT FROM WRONG
AS "TEACHING" IS THE KEY

FOLLOWING YOUR HEART AND MIND IS EASY
AS THEY ARE JUST ONE AND THE SAME
THE DUALITY OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS
IN OUR FUTILE SEARCH FOR BLAME

FORGIVING OTHERS FOR THEIR WRONG-DOINGS
IS A NOBLE ACT, AND SOMETHING TO ACHIEVE
BUT FORGIVING YOURSELF FOR WHAT YOU KNOW YOU DID WRONG
WELL, THAT IS HARDER THAN MOST WOULD CHOOSE TO BELIEVE

SO WHEN THE WORLD AROUND YOU IS CHALLENGING
WATCHING IT SLOWLY RIPPING ITSELF APART
CHOOSE PEACE AND EQUALITY, AS ITS COMMON SENSE
PROUDLY SAY, YOU CHOSE WISELY, YOU CHOSE WITH YOUR HEART !

I like this. It's true that many don't know how to forgive themselves when situations are bad, and some blame others without thought. Alas, such is human nature. I especially like your final stanza!
