Transcendental Sonnet #604:
Little Buddy

I'm dreaming of you and I'm drinking too much
I'm hearing your voice and I'm needing your touch
My life was always meaningless until such
Scintillating shining first began to dawn
On me the once-forgotten but not-yet-gone

You brought me to life and now how I want you

Little buddy you have woven pure magic
Into the very fabric of my being
You heal with your sweet love what once was tragic
Freeing this prisoner once blind but now seeing
How yellow these roses that those stars are blue

Wide-awake-dreaming of the magic I've known
But walking down sunny sidewalks all alone

What will I do? Little buddy I need you

Referencing the first line, I WAS drinking too much earlier today, but I turned all-business right away when it was time to write this sonnet (hey, I'm a professional!).

Since then, I got a wonderful package from Silke, which included so many bags of such fascinating teas that it's just been tea all the way, baby, ever since then!

I'm going to read the book she sent me right away, and when I get another copy of my own book (I lent out the one I had), I will use this really cool book cover she sent me, which will also look nice for when I go and do readings ("Coming to a Starbucks Near You!").

And I popped ALL the bubble-wrap immediately!

Hooray!

All my thanks with all my heart to Silke, my little buddy.

Hello, Diona; I'm so glad it meant something to you, and spoke to you with particular immediacy today.

I'm an old ASCAP songwriter, you know; I really do care what people think. I am always aware of people reading my work, and I want them to enjoy it, so I'm really happy you did.

I feel like maybe I'm making progress in my writing. I'll keep doing my best as long as I live. My health is good; it could be a good long run. I'm looking forward to it!

Most of all, I am looking forward to spending those years with Silkchen Mausimutti Mausilein Maus of mine.

Unbreakable solidarity, always!
