I walk alone at night.
The moon casts its last
Eerie gaze at me
Before falling behind tree line,
Leaving me in darkness.
Looking up at the sky,
I realize that the moon
Is not the only light
That illuminates the streets
At night.
The stars are always there
To help me find my way,
But tonight I just want
To get lost.
So, I turn a blind eye
Skyward
And keep walking.
On my path,
I can choose
Where to go
Even though
I have no bearings
Or do I?
I have my feet
They?ll tell me which way to go
What I?ve been looking for
This whole time
Was right there all along.
All I had to do,
Was stop looking.
Don?t seek freedom,
Let it find you.
As I walk, I come across a cliff.
Climb it
I say to myself.
So I do.
Halfway up I fall.
Get off your a*s and climb.
So I do,
This time I make it to the top.
Here is where I sit,
Bruised but not broken
From the fall
As I watch the morning
Breech the dark sky.
I say goodbye to the stars.
I don?t need them anymore,
From up here I can see where I am going:
Up higher.
