If we could jump start this process maybe we could have a taste of enlightenment for ourselves. Much tradition has grown up around the theory. All the door, gate and veil ritual workings on the inner landscapes give the impression that there exists a psychological gate that bars the entrance of thought impulses into this region of the brain. Many know of the method of entrancing or hypnotising an initiate by means of drugs and ritual, guiding him to this psychological 'Door' and commanding him to open it, lifting the veil and entering the gates be they heaven or hell.
Through drugs and ritual, from early times, man has been mining the collective unconscious. Each expedition brings back symbols, familiar ones which confirm the reality of existing myth or from time to time, new ones. New symbols become woven into the existing tapestry but alas it is no good having the sign/symbol unless someone can interpret the meaning. What if I told you of a group of people who throughout history have been searching for the key that is going to unlock God from his prison and what if I told you of another group who found it long ago and ever since their job has been to ensure that the key is not found by anyone else. Nothing would increase mankind's suffering more than your typically morally bankrupt individual in 'God mode.' Hence the legends of the Great White brotherhood; I'll come back to this later. I see the big lesson here being that as long as people remain gullible enough to be seduced into belief systems, whether it is openly or secretly, Christianity or Satanism, Hinduism or New Age we are demonstrating to our own subconscious that we are not ready for the next evolutionary level.
So it is a simple double blind. Beliefs are the ideas which are guaranteeing what we seek. So we participate in a belief structure. We can all see the logic of truth being a major prerequisite for enlightenment but belief is not Truth, it is simply a hogwash of idealism interpreted from symbols which we do not comprehend, translated into language. So mankind sets out on the road to enlightenment but has the misfortune of catching the wrong bus. Instead of going the whole distance the bus pulls into a parking bay and there we stay. Myth is fiction, so there must be danger in trying to analyse it as fact. What if this stuff about Affirmations is true, that by believing in something and literally brainwashing ourselves we can make the affirmation come true. I find this a terrifying concept that belief can create reality.
Let's pull back to the metaphor of Adam and Eve. The 'Third Eye' is located at the same spot current medicine refers to as the lizard's eye, a light adjuster that connects to the reptilian center of the brain via the pineal gland. I know the third eye exists because twice in experimental conditions I have been able to read a set of numbers being thought of by a person sitting next to me. My eyes closed, in the area between my eyes was a white area across which I could read the correct numbers. At the time I did this experiment I was at a very happy point in my life, and I have never felt like I could do it since. I have also had clairaudient experiences, most not checkable because of their spontaneity and I would not ask someone if they just said such and such to themselves. There was one time where my husband had broken down in the dingy about three miles from the boat. I heard him call my name in my head and ignored it. When he was late back I looked for him in the binoculars, it looked like he was standing on the bow pulling nets so I left him out there for hours. He was actually paddling a 14 foot dingy against the current with an outboard cowling as paddle. He confirmed to me that he was calling my name in his thoughts.
I have never been able to achieve control over these brain functions so I can't use them at will but I know they exist. My brain is identical to everyone else's but through an EEG we were able to see at the time of heightened awareness there was a reversal in the direction of my Theta waves. Anyone familiar with two way radio knows you can not transmit and receive at the same time. Each operator must take it in turns. This analogy sits well with meditational technique which demands you must be able to stop the internal dialogue before you can commune with 'god.' I have never achieved brain quiet at will. Just like a radio our brain frequency is measured in Hertz which range from 0-50 hertz. If high frequency radio signals can be sent through the atmosphere it makes a sense to assume that low frequency signals emitted by the brain enter the atmosphere as well. I have a two way radio with the transmit button accidentally left on. I then play the compact disk next to the microphone unbeknown to me my CD is being broadcast to everyone within range of my radio who tunes to the same frequency. No one can call me to tell me what is happening because whilst I am transmitting I can not receive the signal.
The Tree in the Garden of Eden is the tree of life whose fruit provides the knowledge of good and evil. It is the snake known as Lilith, Adams first wife who tempts Eve. The brain stem with spinal column attached reminds me of a snake. Their expulsion from Eden is because they are feared for the ability to become 'gods themselves.' Biologists tell us we inherit more of our gene make up from our mothers. The change in the Adamic female from Lilith to Eve echoes a change in the biology of man. Upon the staircase of human evolution the point at which man heard the voice of their own conscious/conscience for the first time. Eve spoke to herself, she rationalized whether to eat the fruit or not. She made a decision, not merely an impulsive act but a rational decision that was guided by the snake/Lilith the ancestral memories in her own conscious. The Bible shows Adam and Eve discontinuing their gatherer life style and their children become subsistence farmers. Changes in human lifestyle are usually associated with necessity which is the 'Mother of all invention.' The dependence upon one area as opposed to the range of areas involved in supporting a nomadic cyclic life style appears to occur when the other areas of migration cease to provide. You remain in the most fertile area and learn to grow your own food.
Abel was an animal husbander whose life would have been semi nomadic, moving the herd from summer to winter pasture. Cain was an agriculturist. Was there a murder? Was this the next level of man's development. Cain murders Abel in a jealous rage, jealousy and emotional anger are responses all belonging to modern man. Could this split between Cain and Abel once again show a distinct step in our evolution. Abel type man is killed off by Cain type man. I n Carl Sagan's 'Dragons of Eden' he describes a plausible theory of there being several types of man at the same time who were killed off by the ancestors of modern man. If memory serves me right the science community is claiming DNA evidence of modern man having more compatibility with apes than genetic material analysed from Neanderthal remains.
What I am suggesting is maybe the writers of Genesis where not constructing neat allegories from stories handed down overtime from people sitting around the camp fire. I say that Genesis might be an allegory created by someone with an intelligent appreciation of Man's evolutionary process. Meanwhile, back in Eden prior to Eve eating the apple mankind lived as innocents who were in continual communion with god. Innocence can be translated as not knowing anything, we regard animals as innocents, their behaviour instinctual rather than conscious. Interestingly opinion is changing in relation to animal thought processes as more is understood about animal brains and personalities. Once Eve eats the fruit they are expelled from the Garden and a gate goes up in the East barring their admission back into the state of blissful ignorance. Man has been at the mercy of his thoughts ever since. Allegro and a whole school of writers who prescribe to the same theory suggest that it was the ingestion of drugs that caused thoughts to enter unconditioned areas of the brain which 'Trip' started mans advancement. Mental illness has a similar effect to the hallucinatory range of drugs, causing electrical brain impulses to fire through synoptic gates into unconditioned areas of the brain.
Man's descent into consciousness, original sin, the fall because Eve made a judgement for herself, man's first choice, the original division of Good and Evil, God and Devil. So the gate in the East exists in mans conscious and will remain shut until such time as man can redeem himself. If you have ever met anyone 'blissed out' on drugs, insanity or brain washing you know that this person is incapable of safe decision making. The temporary euphoria experienced by the person generally conflicts with the reality in which they live. Everything may feel wonderful to them but in reality because they have impaired their ability to make rational decisions their life is actually in the toilet, they are just deluding themselves that all is really great. No, I see the state of bliss as a metaphor for the return to the ignorance of the jungle before man developed the ability of choice.
So if psychic ability predates the development of other brain functions and represents an ability which the brain is evolving away from instead of into what relevance does this have for the future development of man's brain. Imagine evolution this way, instead of a long staircase imagine a closed loop. Fix a point on this wheel and call it reptilian brain, farther along mark the paleomammalian brain further along mark the modern brain (neomammalian), now the future development of human brain function is going to lay between modern and reptilian. A crude example but the point is metaphorical, we don't go in through the front gate we left the garden from as a pathetically regressed species, no, we enter through the back door as a fully evolved species. The cycle is complete the halo glows with light, man is using every part of his brain, man has reached enlightenment.
So how can we cheat time, how can we loop the loop in our own lifetime? This is the apparent question that every esoteric group tries to propose an answer. Getting back to the sentiment of the enlightened Masters, the secret brotherhood whose supposed job it is to carefully guide mankind not letting the secret out before it's time. Why has this urban myth developed and what part of the equation does it explain. First, lets go back to calling the collective conscious 'God.' God's genetic programming is eventually going to allow him to reach full potential. The subconscious of all individuals beats to the same drum. The future is already written, what's happened is happening will happen, terms which describe the subconscious already knowing the future because it can read God's plan. So the spirit of human consciousness' whispers become fact in fantasy, from these ideas we create reality. What comes through from the subconscious are glimpses of the cycle in it's entirety. When man reaches full potential it will be God meeting himself for the first time. Out of the long lonely galactic night the spirit becomes flesh; an idea becomes word.
So back to the concept of having to guard the secret, to continually codify mystify and bury the principle under a ton of cement every time someone thinks they have worked out the way. As long as it is consciously possible to be prevented from making the gestalt leap necessary to speed up the process our way will remain barred. Saturn patrols the path on the inner landscape that leads to Christ consciousness. As long as he is able to bar our way we remain unable to enter even on an imaginary level. As long as people believe in the sanctity of the secret the way will remain barred. It takes a revolution to speed up evolution. We need to make it consciously impossible to see anything but the truth. As long as we are gullible enough to be coerced into the propagation of these myths, by our own admission we are not ready to see the truth, the straight path the door to reality.
So back to the double blind, It's the ability to delve into our subconscious and interpret our evolutionary steps that has got us this far but now it chains us to the wheel, nails us to this cross so that we are running around in the same groove. It is belief in God which has tied mankind to this mast, we sail a known predictable course that has served us well but now lets take that leap, let us untie the tiller of belief structure, let's stop lying, let's leave it up to chance to point the way home. When you've been riding a horse for this long and you are as unsure of the way home as we are it sometimes is wise to give the horse it's head and thrust in the animal instinct to pick the right path. The subconscious belief in 'we can make it true as long as we believe in it,' must be what is anchoring us to this epoch. Now we see that same old message dressed up in a new suit as the message under pinning the New Age of Aquarius being put forward by people who are completely jumping the gun on the start of the New Age which is not for another 600 years.
Positive thinking is one of the crummiest ideas I have heard in a long time and is based on principles of self delusion. Affirmations are just a new name for spells and incantations, prayers and partitions and I think if you are interested in making things true you have no desire for finding out what really is true. The two concepts are juxtaposed, deliberate brain programming for one's own gain is not spirituality it's witchcraft whether you call yourself Christian or Pagan, Cabalist or Satanist. Spirituality involves the receiving not the sending of information. If people want to indulge in witchcraft I respect their freedom and right to do so. Just don't bore me to death about how such an old technique is so new and has anything to do with the Age of Aquarius. Hopefully all this crap will have died out by then and witchcraft, (all religion) will have gone the way of the dinosaur.
When did God become the Devil? When did the subconscious start dictating our present and not the future? Probably at a time when man was intellectually aware enough to be come existentialist but still emotionally immature enough to cling to fantasy. In the Christian world the Devil has been patrolling our dreams for the last 1700 years. The Church acts as agent for both God and the Devil being a dualistic divide of the same nature. God as human consciousness only becomes divided into good and bad after we start moralizing. Now its time to reconcile these two old friends, God and the Devil and stop forcing a polarization of human nature. We must cease to regard aspects of human nature as either positive or negative, good or bad, right or wrong and acknowledge that our nature is made up of many aspects which will appear either good or bad depending upon the circumstance. The ability to rape, pillage, murder and plunder are a very good survival tool and if you think mankind is being held back because of his dark side, think again. Beliefs that are based on all goodness and light deny many aspects that are not only inherent in our nature but are abilities integral to human development.
Why, if human consciousness is destined to evolve and this is the 'program' which our subconscious is reacting to, then what's holding us back. We are deliberately holding ourselves back. We need to stop believing that only the good go to heaven. The evolution of God's consciousness can not be one sided, God can not leave the Devil behind. Human consciousness can only evolve in its entirety, warts and all. Now we come to that moronic idiom of 'Love being the answer' well it probably is. Until mankind is able to love unconditionally which allows acceptance all aspects of human nature we will stay fixed to this cycle. Love is probably the true key to our evolution.
Two key terms for Pisces is Sacrifice and I believe. Could that be the lesson of the Piscean age, to sacrifice belief. By the way there is nearly six hundred years of the age of Pisces left to run. To stop the indoctrination of our young into established religions, to tell kids the truth and stop trying to build moral conscience through the stick and the carrot method of religion. This continual projection of shame, judgement and repression upon people who possess particular abilities is more the cause of psychological unsoundness than the ability itself. Yes, as a modern progressive society we are growing into a fuller appreciation that freedom of expression and psychological health go hand in hand but we are still a long way from libertarianism. We are still a hard punishing lot the rule of law of our secular governments simply representing a shift in power base from king and Pope to a ragtag of over opinionated people sponsored by commercial interest promoting an ethic of self interest.
As long as society in general and us as individuals resort to punishment as a way of modifying human behavior, God as the face of human collective unconsciousness, the universal mind will not be whole and balanced. God will be too ashamed to look at his own face because of how disgusting and ugly the not understood aspects of his nature are thought to be. So there the God and Devil sit at opposite ends of the same fence, facing away from each other, we forgetting that they are two halves of the one whole. For those who have journeyed along the inner landscapes will know you need to be friends with all aspects of human nature and it is the job of the individual to reconcile this split in consciousness and let these two friends, God and the Devil go home together.
Once again getting back to the legends of the enlightened ones who guide mankind, the secret societies, the esoteric orders who boast themselves privy to secrets too sacred for the uninitiated, the custodians of spiritual truth, the mystery schools that demand loyalty upon fear of death. Why would God as collective consciousness dream such groups into existence? For one, these groups have literally cemented the inner landscapes with bricks and mortar and sign upon sign. These pioneers of psychic exploration have mapped the human subconscious with such dedication that they have made travelling the realms, looking for answers possible. These groups provide a double function. They know the direction of man's destiny is going to come through the unravelling of a psychic thread so they promote themselves as custodians of the keys of enlightenment. Their second function is to prevent anyone gaining access to this psychic thread.
God as the collective unconsciousness knows that as long as the hero keeps entering the labyrinth clutching Ariadne's thread only to return through the same way he left that it is the thread it's self that prevents him finding the other side of the maze. His own tradition of trusting in the fate repetitiously woven by Athena/Arachne in aspect as the weaver goddess, prevents him from dropping the old thread and finding the new one. When I enter the subconscious realms I want to met Elvis and Frank Zappa, Freddie Mercury and my Aunt Shirley. I found it really annoying to be directed by the custodians of the inner paths to answer questions about such old Archetypes such as Janus and Isis. My imagination was figuratively being constrained by the cemented traditions of which I have no interest, they are so antiquated they only represent tombs for thought not repositories for the living material of conscious building.
So any aspirant who seeks enlightenment who is able to open his mind up, raise his conscious level is trapped like a fly in a spider's web, into a stereotypical interaction with the subconscious resultant of the archetypal conditioning of the collective subconscious. What appears to have happened is that participants in the initiate mystery schools started to believe that the ritual Archetypes who were deliberately woven into the mists of the collective unconscious as signposts were actually real. This sentiment permeates many modern initiate schools who speak of the reality of the Otherworld as being just as real as this one. So the belief structure built up around this Otherworld has cut it off from the technique's original purpose which was simply an easy way, a step by step plan of gaining access to the human collective consciousness. These belief structures have cemented God, as collective conscious, into a prison. So, why if this is so obvious, why hasn't it been picked up before? This is the other function of mystery schools, to prevent people from seeing the truth, finding the keys, having access to a broader view of God as the collective unconscious.
By structuring the collective subconscious it has been fixed to a spot, anchored if you like. Imagine the evolutionary process of mans consciousness as a precessional zodiac wheel. With time errors appear, the archetypal map no longer represents the topography but the errors are only slight and by extending the original structure by over laying new myths over the old frame the map appears accurate. The two dimensional imagery of the subconscious becomes three dimensional. Every time the current of man's development has allowed him to glimpse a new concept, the essence has been symbolized and quickly incorporated as new building material in the old structure.
So the original spot in man's consciousness where the precessional development of man's full nature has been so built upon, become so dense, that a fortress, a whirling castle of Arianrhod has been built. Instead of mankind drifting along the path of evolution we have been fixed in space, chained to a huge structure architecturally designed and contributed to by every fully initiated master. So if this structure is what's keeping man from continuing on the road to enlightenment why was it designed by people who were seeking that very thing. Because the Architect knew that one day these structures would finally be seen for the prison they are and God as collective unconscious would teach himself the means by which he could escape the prison walls. In hindsight we can say that man's conscious is genetically coded not to continue development until such time as man is consciously aware of the process and has made a conscious decision to evolve.
