Droopy Drawers

Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting here, and I have a question to ask. My work email account has been bombarded by viruses, as well as a couple other people I work with, and I know the person sending them has to know us all because of the fictisious names used as the senders. Is there a way to find out where the sourse is?
This is an example of what shows as the sender...sdorer@ehsf.org [sdorer@ehsf.org]...I know this is not the actual senders email account because it is mispelled. Unfortunately there is no ip address that I can find.
Please help!!!!
Thanks.

just look at the full header of your email. While the sender's email is easy to fake, the senders IP address will always be there unless they send it through an anonymous remailer.

it's easy to alter the sender's email to make it appear like someone else sent the email. For example, I could send out an email with the sender's email address as Bill_Gates@microsoft.com or any other email address I want. Of course, if you look at the IP address in the full header of the email to find out where the email really originated from, then it's usually straightforward and easy to spot forged email addresses.

I know there's some freeware out there that will let you do that. Besides freeware, it would be easy to write some code (in PHP or Perl for example) that would let you do this. But if you don't know how to write code for it, it's probably best to look around on the net for freeware mailing programs.

If you mean how to read the full header, I need to know what email software you use.
You may be able to find out for yourself by reading the help file for your email program and searching in it for 'header' or 'full header'.
Help should tell you how to view full headers of your emails [they are not shown by default].
