Cuts--
By- Nichola Cordato
Cutting myself
Feels like it heals the anger and friction of my soul within
It seems like no harm
Until you hurt someone
Who finds out
Then its like
The friction and cuts within
Open
And same with the ones you created
I use to be one of those blind people
It is not cool, nor is it helpful
If your trying to help someone like that
Dont mind their mood swings
Their pushing you away
Or anything else
Because its like a drug
Its an addiction
And it seems like its helping
Dont push them
Stay calm
Do not
Freak out
Let them know
Your there
Thank you
Just some advice
For those people
Calling for help
Within

Unfortunately, I had a friend who hurt herself as your poem illustrates. Try as we might, it didn't seem as though our words got through to her. I don't know what became of her, but your poem brought about the kind of insight that people need yet do not want to hear. The world cannot be completely healed through means of modern medicine. Sometimes they just need someone there with them. I completely feel this poem.
