Wonderful image and poem! I LOVE the last stanza, especially the last line, "As darkness feeds within".
Great work,
love,

My dearest darling Dr. Lance (I like the sound of that)!
Silkchen Mausi, what a great and powerful omen it is that you are taking my name on Passover, at the time of the full moon. There is yet one light in this dark night in April, and we can see this light made manifest in the moon. You and I both love the moon, and we are quite right to do so; it is not merely romantic but the very governor of time and tide, the queen of the night and eye of the dark side of heaven.
I just went out in my backyard and looked up to the moon and thought of you; it is half past one in the morning here, and there you are shining in the sky, your beautiful face shining in every star as always, but tonight especially in the moon: its face your face, its light your light, my hope; the moon is here now and not there, but when she returns look out your window, my love, and see my hope, our hope, your hope shining there.
(And it could just be my eyes but I think I can see "Lance" up there somewhere; its either a dream or my cousins have really gone overboard with the advertising, eh?)
You inspire me, my muse! You always speak the truth to me, always have good ideas. Inspired by you I have added my birthday to my profile here on the site; the New Year's Eve baby of Old Towne Orange is out of the closet (so to speak)!
I adore all your images and words; I agree with Dara in what she says above about this one. "As darkness feeds within" is a magnificent line. I am so proud that it was written by a Lance.
I hope and trust you are snuggling and sleeping now, my tired girl. Read this when you wake up, and know that I am dreaming of you whether sleeping or waking.
May fourteen angels keep the watch; may you snuggle down safe in the palm o' God's hand.

Dearest darling Dr. Lance, I've got a little present for you which might help you to sleep now.
I've written you a new sonnet, and I have just come here to post it. I hope you like it. Maybe it will make you feel snuggly and warm.
I love you!
