Transcendental Sonnet #546:
The Light of Morning in Your Eyes

No greater honor's ever come to me
Nothing's ever gladdened my heart like this
That you have chosen for all time to be
My very own and seal it with a kiss

Nothing again will ever be the same
And I'm so happy about that because
My life was a hell and it always was
The sun will come out when you take my name

My sweet my tender bright my shining one
The night has been too dark has been too long
Now is our dawn now is our love begun
Our love so beautiful our love so strong
Now Silke now we overcome we rise
I see the light of morning in your eyes
