My loosened grip does now let go.

The battle done.

Well Silke, I do know how you feel, how giving up seems to be the only way to end the sufferig. But I know you are so strong, and that you will overcome all the things that are holding you back right now.

I'm not quite sure what has happened as the background to this poem, or how artistic this is in relation to reality. I know our paths have only crossed a couple of times, however I wish to add my voice to the choir that will soon sing to you Silke; don't you dare give up!

I have learned that life is a struggle, life has always been a struggle, and life will continue to be a struggle, the struggle defines a life, it is its essence.

The nature of our personal struggles may differ, but we face them all the same. If you are not struggling there is no point to life, it is tempting to end the struggling and give in, but you must not.

While it is true that for very hill you climb there is a mountain ahead of you, that is no reason to stop climing. Just turn an look at how far you have come already, you did that, you can continue to do that, so keep climbing.

I entered the new year
With my heart filled with hurt and despair
