I'm a Bloody Subversive
Today I have been restored unto grace
My publisher wrote me and made it clear
Although I had been banished and lost face
Apparently I have some value here
Within this twittering world after all
The fundamentalists think it's ending
So before the final curtain sending
Out little bits of graciousness seems right
Tie up the loose ends and cross all the "T"s
And then go gentle into that good night
I'm a bloody subversive one of these
Who gives Donald Rumsfeld indigestion
I'd like to ask Colin Powell a question
But it's too late... he sold his soul... to hate
