but, I am curious if that equation was reversed what the outcome would be.

Ari, the equation E=mc2 is an equality and does not have any directionality associated with it, which means you could just as well write m=E/c2. When you talk about reversing it, what are you talking about?

Have you ever seen that Star Trek episode (old version) were there were beings that moved faster than we do. They put a substance in Kirks coffee that sped him up to their time frame. Now the enterprise crew did not see Kirk... but Kirk saw all of them moving slowly.

I did see that excellent Star Trek episode. If Kirk had stayed in one place for a long enough time, his crew mates would have seen him.

All I'm saying is that if our minds can move faster then ...is it possible we will see something that we did NOT formerly see before?

it's possible.

form a group of like minded individuals and compete on mass, start your own religion, your own science, as your group grows you will have more influence over the world at a fundamental level, you will control it.

I had a very similar view sometime back. But I do not believe in it anymore.

#1 I think this is already happening in the world. If you take any group, they believe in the same hypothesis.

#2 If a small group compete over mass, your "AND GATE LOGIC" will never let this happen.

#3 Are there any "like minded individuals"? May be there are individuals whose acts do not have any conflict.

#4 The kind of individuals you are talking about are of nature, I guess, will not fit into any group. They are just INDIVIDUALS. A group should have a common goal. But this group cannot have a common goal.

#5 Lets say You and me are like minded, what difference do we make by forming a group. Do we restrict ourselves to the common goal?

#6 The Mass derives its strength from the groups. The moment you are into the group forming game, it would only lead to an eternal group clashes and competition. All the individuals will feel powerless before these massive groups.

#7 To achieve what you are aiming at, each individual should have equal power and the mass power should be equal to the individual power. This is possible only when all the groups are dissolved, and every person behaves like an absolute individual and not a part of some thing. By being a part of something he is dividing himself and his power.
The power of a group is useless to any individual (as he will not feel that power). It can be used by one group to compete with another group, but the individual remains the same.

This should not be misunderstood with individuals organizing themselves to perform big tasks. In this case they are still individuals and do not see any 'group power' to compete with another group.

I have a confession to make. Back when the forum assigned gold stars as a measure of how many posts members made, my wife wanted to have all those gold stars beside her name, and so I amused her by artificially inflating her number of posts, which resulted in her being listed in the top ten posters of all time. Since the gold stars feature is no longer in effect, and in fairness to Laz, I have since de-inflated my wife's posts... which means that Laz is now ranked #10. Congratulations Laz.

That also means that Dan is moved up a notch to #9.

ahh, sweet justice!

I'm going to start splitting my posts if there's a race going on!
What's the prize anyway?
Quality is more important than quantity as somebody once said to a eunuch who replied "it doesn't matter much to me anyway"! huh.gif

Thanks Shawn. It's not an issue though, I'm with rhymer on this one. If anything, this is probably a warning that I should do more work and less posting here!

Thanks for your post Rajesh I enjoyed reading it, I really want to do a big reply, but I also don't want to. So suffice to say I completely agree with your last comment about individuals working together, that is what i'd like to see more of on Mind-Brain smile.gif
