Every breezy murmur, tender through the autumn wheat
Speak of careless promises that none intend to keep
Veiled by a shadow cloud, the wounded cease to speak
Secure in the warmth of their fantasies

Deep in this lonliness
Eyes mirror pity
Cool indifference toward the souls
Of desperate entreaty

Buried in this cherry ire
Six feet under
Lungs afire
Screaming for a savior
As these clawing fingers bleed

Trembling smile upon a mask of tragedy
Blankets every furrow of a frown
As the weary rest
Their heads upon a case of iron down

Crowned by the kindred souls
Love and hatred simmering
High upon a diamond throne
Bidding the restless sleep
Crushing them with hands of adament
Tainting the release, unknowing, with loathing

Thunderclap upon the lips imploring
Striking dumb the tongues of passion's mourning
Caged within the mute and gilded purgatory
Straining against the bars to reach
Out toward sirens' suggestive melodies
Silke Lance
Wonderful...just wonderful....
