Anorexia - the bruised soul

(Author unknown)

You know you're in deep when even your body is not yours.
Mine has been stolen from me.
Doctors prod me, discuss me,
Measure me, weigh me.
My thoughts are gone too-
Stolen as psychiatrists pick my brains.

Somewhere medical files hold
My thoughts.
Me.
My life.
Nothing is my own.
No body, a nobody.
I am just a bruised soul.
Anorexia.
