On losing true love through the actions of others.....

Windswept and fair were tapestry dreams.
Casually sewn with nimble stitching,
Love’s tale became a legend bewitching.
Upon time, known less for trust than mirth,
Passion’s wish found a clever companion.
Treasured within eyes peaceful was action;
Measured beauty contained towering bastion.
Time brought gathering hordes from far off land,
Sealed in promise’s almighty strength.
Future! Fallen, sleeping in dark memory’s spell;
Love, unafraid of night’s ungracious hell.
Forewarned! The irony played upon itself,
Bedeviled soul found fabric torn from earth.
Her own soft embrace kissed sweet eternal death.
