Redemption......Shattered Dreams Concluded

On a warm sunny morning, a young girl named Misty, awoke from an unearthly dream. She ran to her phone, called Amys home, and learned Amy hadn’t been seen. Amys mother asked “Misty, do you know where she is? Didn’t you see her last night?” Misty said “no, I have no idea, but I think my daddy just might.”

Amys mother asked “please, could you go wake your father, and ask him to please call me here?” Then with a curious tone, she said “Misty hold on, what makes you think that dear?” Young Misty began, she recalled her dream, not a single detail untold, but as she spoke Amys words, she started to shiver, as though the room had grown cold.

“Thank you Misty now go, wake your father, ask him to call me please.” Amys mother said bye, Misty hung up the phone, then turned and fell to her knees. “Dear God please,” sweet Misty begged, “let her be ok. I can’t live without her, don’t take my friend. Please let her come home today.”

On her knees Misty cried, as if part of her died, then was startled by the voice of a man. “Misty what’s wrong?”, her father asked gently, as he knelt and reached for her hand. Misty cried “daddy, where is Amy? She told me that you might know. Her father said “what? How could that be?” then sadly Misty’s heart fell cold.

As he realized his words, he stood to his feet, and said “Misty, find something to wear. I know where she is, I saw her last night, get dressed, and I’ll take you there.” With a glimmer of hope, her spirits rose, but in her head a voice said “no. Misty listen to me, hear my voice, please Misty please don’t go.”

The voice Misty heard, she instantly knew, but she hadn’t heard it in years. With a curious voice, she quietly asked, “mommy, is that you I hear?” “Misty it’s me, now leave the house, Misty, you must run away.” Her mother seemed scared, as if she knew, something bad would happen today.

Though not sure why, young Misty complied, and ran for the warm morning air. As she opened the door, her father reached out, and grabbed her by the hair. “ I thought I said, I’d take you to Amy , don’t you want me to take you there?” He was pulling her back, as he was speaking, she was screaming but he didn’t care.

Misty screamed “daddy, please let me go, you’re hurting me daddy it hurts!” He loosened his hold, then pulled even harder, he reveled in the screaming he heard. Though Misty was screaming, her father was laughing, as he dragged her to the car. He pushed her inside, said “lets go see Amy, don’t worry, it’s not very far.”

They rode for an hour, a lifetime of terror, sweet Misty cried uselessly. In her mind she visioned, her daddys intentions, and the horror she may come to see. They pulled of the road, he shut off the car, then he turned and looked at his daughter. “Get out” he said, “were just about there, from here it’s not much farther.”

Misty cried “daddy, please let me go, please don’t do this to me.” Her father just smiled, then said to his daughter, “this is how it must be.” With a strong right hand, she fell to darkness, and he pulled her out of her seat. He carried his daughter, down to a stream, then he dropped her at Amys cold feet.

In a moment of hope, Misty awoke, and thought her nightmare a dream. As she opened her eyes, her horror returned, Misty, so scared couldn’t scream. Her father was there, wielding a knife, and staring her in the eyes. “Amys here sweetie”, he sadistically said, “you should probably tell her goodbye.”

She turned in terror, as she felt something cold, grasping her shaking left hand. There was Amy, no life in her eyes, from her chest her hearts blood still ran.
Closing her eyes, Misty just cried. A thousand tears were shed. Laid out in this field, bruised bare and bloody, her very best friend was dead.

Her father knelt down, raised his knife, and constantly watched her eyes. Her fear overcame her, she again fell to darkness, as she realized today, she would die. A crash of thunder, made him turn, before his knife came down. With darkness surrounding, nothing else sounding, he paused and looked around.

More crashing thunder, it was drawing so near, as if it was seeking him out. Then a heavenly light appeared in the dark, as the thunder crashed closer now. He focused his eyes, down to the ground, committed to killing his daughter. Then a voice shrieked “NO!!!”, so loud in the dark, it caused his aim to falter.

When his blade stabbed the ground, he shouted "NO!!" Then he looked at Gods light with hate.He said "go away, leave us alone." but alas it was much too late. With his glimpse of Gods light, he lost his sight, as his eyes became burning hot ash. As he shreiked in pain and Angels voice said, “Michael, this night is your last.”

He stood up and screamed, in both fear and pain, “no,please God let me go.” As he shouted his plea, the Angel again spoke, saying “Gods heard you, and, Michael, God has said no.” With a blood curdling scream he lifted his head, and again he begged for his life. The Angel God sent, Michael's wife he had killed, said “Gods judgement, has found you tonight."

With a last crash of thunder, lightning shot down, and easily found it’s mark. Like an arrow from Heaven , the lightning was true, and pierced his murderous heart. With the shriek of death, he grabbed his chest, as a voice from heaven boomed." YOUR JUDGMENT IS DEATH, ETERNITY IN HELL,FOREVER YOUR SOUL IS DOOMED"

In less than an instant, the darkness was gone, replaced by the warm sunny day. Another Angel appeared, stood by her side, and said "Misty, wake up it's ok." Misty awoke, and nerveously spoke, "Amy, is that really you?" Amy said "yes, Misty I'm here, but I'll have to leave you soon."

Misty's words drippped with fear, as she asked "where's my dad, is he gone, Amy please make him go" "Misty he's gone," Amy replied, "Now stand up, and let's get you home." Misty stood up, then, in the blink of an eye, she was lying in her bed. Amy was there, caressing her hair, saying what she needed said.

"Misty I'm sorry, I have to go, but I'll see you again someday. You're my best friend in life, my sister in love, and in your dreams I'll sneak down and play."
In a rush of love, the two friends embraced, then Amy faded away. Misty knew now, her very best friend, would always be ok.

As Amy faded, Misty sat up and said "Amy, our friendship won't die. I'll miss you badly, each day I live, and I love you....Amy?.......Goodbye.
