Faces...fleeting memories.
Faded...amidst a canvas
of nameless souls passed.
...All but forgotten.
The shadows have drawn
this curtain closed.

Family, and dear friends
nearer to my blood,
forget not your brother,
nor your humble son,
in this principled parting,

Lament not,
but that I am reconciled
in your divine consolation
in hearty spirit.

My sons, weep not for me
rather smile your child's smile for me.
Fear not this woeful walk away
for tis not with malice that I surrender
my body to the toils of betterment,
but for the treasured life due upon you
and your beloved mother.

And to you, my love,
who waits with the wind
for my wanting return,
bide this time lost
with the bittersweet taste
of my parting passion's kiss.

Oh, the desire
that burns upon my breast,
To bestow upon you and my sons,
all of my dreams for you.
Chance in sight.
...Justified resolve.
I take my leave of you
if only for a while.
