Excuse me...

Candy red nails,
Tap delicately on the desk.
Lovers kiss.
She flinches.

“Excuse me”

A dozen red roses.
A note, "I love you".
Neatly arranged,
And tied with red ribbon.

“Excuse me”

Louder this time.
But still caught in,
Each others gaze.
They don't notice her.

"Excuse me"

The answer, short,
"What?" emerges from,
Smudged lips,
Candy red lips.

"I want to see him"

In each others embrace,
They laugh.
"But he doesn't want to see you,
So excuse us..."

They're gone.

And a single tear is wiped away,
By a candy red sleeve.
