Amys Angel

On a cold, dreary night, laid out in a field, a lifeless body resides. An Angel of God, appeared at her side, and said “Amy, it’s time to rise.” A spectral young girl, arose from her shell, looked down and started to weep. She realized now, her fate had come, eternally, now, she’ll sleep.

“Dear God”, she cried, “please tell me why, where have I gone wrong? Why did I die? Why must I go? There’s still so much I’ve not done.” A voice from behind, said “Amy you’ll find, in heaven God needs all ages. That’s why, today, in the book of life, your name was found in it’s pages.”

Amy turned and fell, now down on her knees, she bowed to the Angel at hand. With a tender voice, as she touched her shoulder, the Angel said “Amy, please stand.” Amy stood, and dared, to look but not stare, at the beauty before her eyes. Through her angelic touch, overwhelming love flowed, and her voice, calmed the tears Amy cried.

As young Amy stood, the Angel drew close, in a blanket of love they embraced. Then the Angel said “Amy, sweet child I’m sorry, but it’s time we leave this place.” Amy stepped back, and asked “please, not yet. I need to see Misty again. Just one more time, then I promise I’ll go, but Misty’s my very best friend.”

The Angel replied, “Amy I’m sorry, only God may grant you more time.” Amy said “please, would you ask him for me? I just need to tell her goodbye.” With a smile and nod, the Angel knelt down, bowed her head, and started to pray. “Dear Father on high, I humbly request, please, would you grant one more day?”

As she closed her eyes, she heard God’s reply, then stood and took Amy’s hand. “In the morning,” she said, “when the sun starts to rise, we’ll travel to Gods promised land. He’s granted your prayer, you’ll have this night, but Amy you must understand. Of this nights events, you may not speak, nor ever, say the name of that man.”

“Thank you sweet Angel, and thank you dear God,” Amy joyfully replied, “and I promise you this, what happened tonight, in silence, will always reside.” Amy looked to her Angel, again said “thank you” then, as she started to turn, with a tear in her eye, the Angel cried “please, tell Misty, her mommy loves her.”

“Mommy?” she thought, could it be true? Misty’s mother, her Angel from God? Amy looked to her Angel, now ascending to heaven, and spoke, as she watched her in awe. “Dear Angel, I promise, your daughter will know, the words you’ve asked me to say. She’ll know that you love her, and know that you miss her, and know you’ll be together someday.”

In sweet Misty’s room, Amy appeared, glowing with heavenly light. Misty was sleeping, Amy smiled softly, and said “Misty, please hear me tonight. You need to know, before I go, the feelings my heart holds dear. You’re my best friend in life, my sister in love, and though gone, I’ll always be near.”

“I spoke with your mother, she gave me this message, she said tell Misty, her mommy loves her. She misses you deeply, and wants you to know, In heaven you’ll find each other.” Amy leaned over, kissed her friends cheek, and then as she started to fade, she said “Misty, please, if you can’t find me, ask your father if he saw me today.”

On a warm sunny morning, found in a field, two Angels were going home. A girl named Misty, awoke from a dream, and rushed to find a phone. She called for her friend, and learned the news, Amy went missing last night. When they asked if she knew, where Amy could be, she replied “no, but my daddy just might.”
