Questions

Should we be asking questions?
like will our children live to see a better day?
an end to all the violence, will we find a way?
the everyday threat of war, will it ever end?
the homicidal guns handily available, will we amend?
the streets strewn with litter, will we clean?
the ever increasing diseases, have we seen?
the youth of our world, will we befriend?
or their plight ignore, and their funerals attend?
will the cold hearts of the world ever melt?
or continue with falsity, words unfelt?
will child abuse ever cease?
or will the sickening cruelty increase?
the poor countries and their people, will we assist?
or their needs forgotten, continually dismissed?
do we empathise enough, what others go through?
do we care or do enough, me and you?
all the wrongs, will we mend?
does the worlds future, on us depend?
