Fairy Wife

She was a recurring dream for many years
Magical moments brightest and best of life
Respite from disappointment surcease from tears
Imaginary love dream bride fairy wife
The most beautiful romantic fantasy

Every night in my dreams I would love her
Years after I first started dreaming of her
She was born in Sweden unbeknownst to me
Grew up a blonde blue-eyed girl of flesh and blood

While I longed for her and thought I never would
Meet my fairy wife whom I loved every night
Going down to my grave ever after alone
But somehow she found me having always known
Silke her name she came to bring me to light
