she's out of control and out of her mind
she's ready to go, to leave us behind
we had our problems, but it's not about me
what happens next? we'll just wait and see...

we grew up in this house
it was never a home
what's going on with her?
why does she feel alone?

you both brought us up in the same exact way
so i understand why she don't wanna stay
a difficult girl, we all know her well
you give her her freedom so she doesn't raise hell

it's hard not to think that you fucked up a bit
you let her control you and put up with her sh*t
she comes home at midnight and you unlock the door
she walks straight to her room, you've seen this before

i come at her straight and she talks to me real
i've been there before and i know how she feels
you're making mistakes that you shouldn't make twice
the sons are the F**K ups and the daughter is nice

your little girl is goin' down the drain
i know that look, i know she's goin insane
the freedom you gave her it wasn't enough
what she needs is her parents to stand strong and be tough

i know why she hates you
you both weren't there
you think you're giving her freedom
well she thinks you don't care

If only becoming an adult came at an easier price. Thank god we all become adults and become responsible for our own actions. If it weren't for the F**K-ups of our parents, we wouldn't have the ego trip convincing ourselves we could do it better... and try.

PS: The finger is something I wield regularly...

It's basically about watching your parents make the same mistakes with your kid brother or sister that they made with you. i always got pissed when my parents didn't let me go out so i would throw a fuckin fit and they would give in. look what that did for me. love love love, burnout(_00)
