interesting writing here. the theme of racism is prevalent and i enjoyed the realism evident in the character's actions. Nobody who considers themselves open-minded could really see themselves falling for a racist and if i found myself in the situation i'm not quite sure how i'd deal with it.
Any life experience behind that or were you inspired? (if you don't mind me asking

It's basically about this bastard I used to go out with, just switched up a bit. And of course, I'd never have thought that I'd fall for anyone racist. But I've done plenty of stupid things and will continue to do many more, I'm sure.

even more surpising is that you live in canada. it's not something i've been exposed to here. not directly at least.

true, but it's less in some areas then others. I was born in NC, and at the age of 1, my dad had 2 job offers... one i texas and one in toronto. Well i'm the product of an interacial marriage so... texas was basically a write-off and toronto has been good to me in terms of racial harmony.
