NOW,
I have finally finished the book:
Life of Pi
by Yann Martel

Really GOOD! Artfully written.....the story was so well drawn and constructed that the images Yann Martel conjured have stayed with me long after I closed the book...

It is the next book on my list, I bought it last week. Now I'm reading The CAtcher in the Rye by Salinger, but I can't wait to read life of pi 'caus I heard so much about it (positive comments).

Silke's right!

Life of Pi really is a great book. The best term I guess I can apply to it might be "magical realism." Once you have read it, you will never forget Pi Patel, or Richard Parker the Royal Bengal tiger.

Life of Pi compares favorably to all the greatest books I have read. It will find its place among the immortals now, of this I am certain.

One of the greatest things about the book is that it is terribly funny! It is laugh-out-loud funny, while at the same time being profoundly wise and loving, and extraordinarily detailed and realistic.

Unique! I sat and devoured hundreds of pages at a time, and was terribly sorry when there were no more pages to devour! Silke sent me the book to read, and now my son is reading it, with the same reactions I had.

Life of Pi is a must-read.

I've seen the book advertised, but from the advertising and book cover didn't think i'd like it, can you tell me what it's about?
