Is there a manual?

How can this be true?
I simply cannot see
How does it feel to be you?
How foolish can a person be?

Is there a manual for this life?
What instruction did I miss?
Is that the purpose of a knife?
What kind of world is this?

~Angry poem about abuse and violence...
I will never be able to understand this world...

*Hoffnung und Widerstand*

My dearest darling baby-girl, my beautiful butterfly bride...

I will never be able to understand this world either; indeed, I live about as completely outside of it as anyone can.

I know who did this to you, and I mean to kick his a*s at the earliest opportunity.

You and I are going to be safe and warm and loved together. I mean to make it up to you, I mean to make it right. We know what the dark is like, the better to appreciate the dawn. We will get through all of this, together.

AD ASTRA PER ASPERA

God bless and keep you in the palm of his hand. May you snuggle down and sleep now, and only dream about your silly old poet, gentle and harmless and madly in love with you. I will keep the night-watch, and I will be writing you sonnets, and dreaming waking or sleeping of the most beautiful woman in the world, my

Amazing visual and poem. Thank you so mcuh for posting this. I will never understand any of the horrors that happen in this world.
I dont understand why some of us survive the things we have lived thru or why some are still being hurt... Life is strange, that is for sure!

Love,
Dara

Short and to the point, made doubly potent by the inclusion of a speaking visual. Very good! I always enjoy a poem questioning the sanity of the world around us.

~Best Wishes!~
