Transcendental Sonnet #447:
One Soul

We get along perfectly you and I
Fit seamlessly together as the sea
Unites at the horizon with the sky
There is no pair quite like us you and me

And yet we are thought to be difficult
By those who have not bothered to know us
Facile misjudgement of which the result
Is our having grown alone and lonely

Alienation has served to show us
That we belong together and only
We can see what it is like to be us
We come together two halves of the whole
And we know this perfect love will free us
Two bodies and two minds who share one soul

Thank you, my friend; it means a lot to me that my work speaks to you, especially since yours does to me. I was just admiring your latest postings when I offered this latest sonnet of mine.

I am happy that you have come to be among us, and that you add such well-made and heartfelt poems to this our poetry board.

(I should and would reply to more poems hereabouts, but I seem to be always composing and posting my own.)

Solidarity forever.

your words linger
stained in shadows and tears
moving in silence .......

Steven;

Your written words are loving butterflies
Creating the spring in front of our eyes
we hear in your words a couple of canaries
we feel the peace that their singing carries
And till, from your lips, your words I see
Ensure our heart that you are with us....
