Paper-White Fairies
Moonlight on the paper-white Narcissus
Full-shining in the Santa Ana wind
Radiant ineffable delicious
In the full moon where darkness is my friend
White petals return the kiss of the moon
If only this moment could stay with me
If only the sun would not rise so soon
And paper-white fairies could play with me
Each with their secret and each with their song
Narcissus lifting their faces to me
Paper-white petals so fragile so strong
Only in darkness can one truly see
Miracles dance in the moonlight tonight!
Dull was the day but the midnight is bright!
