Transcendental Sonnet #399:
Send Me
Will my poems amount to anything?
Alone here in this darkness could they bring
Light after all where light is needed most
Or is it all hopeless is it all lost?
I cannot live unless I can believe
I must have my hopes I must have my dreams
Life cannot be as empty as it seems
I open my heart fully to receive
Such as the universe would send to me
A feather on the breath of destiny
Am I lift me high let me touch the sky
I have made my choice let me be a voice
To speak of unspeakable mystery
As the prophet spoke: here am I send me
