I just wanted to hi to everyone! Something very odd happened to me about 6 months ago... I committed myself to a fitness competition which put me under a great amount of physical and mental stress. I had to really separate myself from my so-called friends and lifestyle to focus hard on my goal. I was truly alone and realized so many things about myself and my surroundings. Overall, I became more aware of my exisistance. At the end of my training I symbolically experienced this epiphany where everything around me had an entirely connected meaning. I felt like something hit me and everything around me felt so vast (???) It's like suddenly everything slowed down and became crystal clear. People looked different and everything started to make "sense". It is really hard to explain in words, but it seems like everyday I coincidently come across something or someone that leads me to understand the nature of my awareness that much more. Today I stumbled across this website. Yesterday I was a Goodwill and found an old copy of Stalking the Wild Pendulum and had no idea what it was about. The day before that I finished reading Power v. Force a book that some friend of a friend left for me. The sychronicity of the events in my life is so crazy and seems like the meaning keeps getting deeper and deeper. I feel this sense of urgency not to understand but to just explore. I am sure by exploring this website and chatting with people who love to question life, the meaning of why I coincidently stumbled across this website will develop.

Hello Jen,
Coincidental or not, your presence at Mind-Brain is most welcome.
Your experience of 'finding' yourself, and seeing the world in a different 'light', is the best outcome of these 'outreach' type of activities. Being transported into a totally different environment can bring home, or allow a realisation of, some of the truths of life; and that is one of the main purposes of this site too.
But you must go at your own pace. Only accept what seems or feels to be most true from what you read. We each interpret what we see, feel, or think differently. We each apply our own bias to what we believe; or at least we have the right and should have the sense so to do!
Do enjoy your visits here; I am sure you will make some new friends. Read and write as you will, and teach and learn to your hearts content!
All the best, Bill.

hello Jen,
I would like to welcome you, too, to our site and forum. Your 'awakening' constitutes part of the sort of experiences which reside at the heart of this site. Everything meaningful has its foundation in direct experience. This site seeks to facilitate the enhancement of these sorts of experiences, and of our consciousness in general, through whatever means necessary.
I would be interested in hearing more of your personal experience and also how you've chosen to interpret it and what you make of it.
take care,
Shawn

Hey Jen, I too found myself fated to be here, and discovered Mind-Brain in a similar manner. I hope you stick around to become a regular

Just noticed again the title of this thread, coincidently I have just started work on a project named Columbus
