Running
When I'm running and it's raining
And the tears are streaming down
It's like hiding under covers
When there's no one else around.
And there's no one there to stare at me
No big embarrasment.
And there's no one there to tell me, STOP!
That's good, because I can't....
It's as if God is protecting me.
In His big rainday tent,
When I'm running and it's raining.
There my pain can be content.

Cewl poem! I liked the way it flowed too. It's kind of funny that it is raining outside right now too, but I love the rain... It seems like a downpour of gloom sometimes, but when its over the sun pops out and it just seems fresher. Godbless

Beautiful, Mausi, and so rhythmic; it reminds me of an incantation, perhaps even a spell.
I have always felt good in the rain, like the world is filled with tears to cover and embrace and mingle with my own; I feel a solidarity of suffering with the sky, and not so lonely.
As to Kashimaya/Try's question, as you know, Silkchen, I was offline for a week with a destroyed computer and a lot of trouble getting it fixed; ultimately it could not be fixed really, just wiped clean, a blank slate which needed a great deal of reconfiguring. I just now got caught up on posting the sonnets I wrote during that time both here in the forum and on my poetry pages.
I love you so much, beautiful butterfly. You are a wonderful poet, painter, and person; the brightest and best, the woman I love.

Rain is so symbolic to me, I am happier in the rain then the sun. I dont knwo why really, but the rain seems to mirror my feelings inside...it is always a bit darker when it rains, always intense and mysterious!
Great poem!

Dara
