*To write in english.....*
To write a poem
in wrong tongue
with all the words
I never use
To write a poem
in this slow way
weighing the words
spell checking
Puts me in bonds
narrows my sight
holds me down
corners me
In this diminished
world of fewer words
choosing new paths
I grow....

It does seem to be true though, that if something is difficult, there will be a just blessing to balance ....

I hope you never ask me to write a poem in Swedish! Nor even in German!
Yet you do write beautifully in English, darling, and you make a very good point about growing in that strict situation. This is why I choose to write such highly structured, formalist poetry, even hundreds of sonnets; I find growth in discipline and order.
Alles in Ordnung!
I love you, butterfly; you are a wonderful poet, and a wonderful woman.
I am proud of you!
