Iv'e been on this site before, it has alot of good things in general. I'm proud to participate in this. Although one day I hopefully will rid myself of my pride, today is not that day. This site has opened my mind somewhat and I am glad for it.

My current goal is to become as humble as a child, just like Jesus teaches us. I love Jesus.

Shawn, if you really are standing on the corpses of Jesus and Buddha, what corse of action should I take to humble myself before God? I mean no disrespect of any kind, nor do I doubt that you could be greater that them.

P.S do you have dreams at night. If so what are the nature of those dreams? I have heard that those who are enlightened remain in non-dual awarness even in the night. Is this true for you?

hello Karl,

and welcome to Mind-Brain.com. I'm glad you've gotten something out of it, but there is still much that must be done before this site becomes what it should be. It's current form is but a prelude to much greater things to come.

Your goal is worthy, though I would be interested to hear more about what exactly you mean by humility.... whether you mean gazing on the world with the innocence, wonder, or purity of thought as a child, or whether you mean something different. It's often hard to say exactly what we mean.

I appreciate the irony of that statement, since people have often misinterpreted my statement as a blatant example of unbridled arrogance, to which I've replied that I am simply trying to communicate a set of experiences through the use of such statements, as opposed to trying to convince anyone of the literal validity of such statements which can easily be rendered suspect in anyone's mind if they feel so inclined. You can see some of these people's responses at http://brainmeta.com/guestbook/comment.php , though more often than not, they just email me their misinterpretations, which are usually sprinkled through with indignance and full of misunderstanding.

About humility before God, this may sound trite, but you will know it in your heart and it will be reflected in your actions. There is a danger that we may delude ourselves into believing just about anything, and this is why it's necessary to have recourse to objectively evaluating our actions and other variables which are not strictly dependent on our particular beliefs. If we feel humility before God, we may ask, "how does this reflect itself in my actions, how does this transform my consciousness, how does this transform me and the world?" If you find yourself coming up short with answers, then perhaps you must re-evaluate what it means to be humble before God. The realization of these traits is different from the belief that we have realized them. Drawing the distinction, and being completely honest with oneself, is really the only worthwhile way. Otherwise, we live a meaningless lie.

It's good to doubt. You should retain some doubt about everything I, or anyone else, say, and only remove that doubt if your own experience is confirmatory.

yes, I often experience intense dreams at night (though I'm not sure if this is anything unusual), and oftentimes am aware that I'm dreaming and am able to volitionally make unusual things happen, like flying, making things spontaneously appear, and inducing all sorts of other interesting effects. I also have dreams within dreams within dreams. I'm not sure about your statement about non-dual experience since I experience everything as part of myself, awake and asleep.

Well, I see that those who argue about silly things like that are missing the point huh? I do have many more questions for you, I will ask you in the forums whenever get the chance.

There are still many things I do not understand.

Talk to you later.
