The Dance In The Snow

We danced a dance that was so slow
Out there in the falling snow
you held me closer with every turn
Knowing what my heart had yearned.

We danced for what seemed like days
under the moon's thoughtful gaze
the snow kept falling ever so fast
as if the moment would never pass.

and when our dance came to an end
You whisperd "that we were more than just friends"
I grabbed your face and pulled it low
As we kissed in the falling snow.

I remember that moment with growing faith
That once again i may see your face
you died that day in my arms
from an unknown diease that chose you to harm

I write this now with tears in my eyes
praying and hoping for no more goodbyes
I love you with all my heart
and wish that did not part

So goodbye my darling dear
I have shed all my tears
For now everyone will know
of our ever slow dance in the snow

i don't know about everyone else...but somethings in life make you drop you're jaw and say "wow" this was one of those things...i really really enjoyed your poem...and i hope it isn't true b/c it is sad...if it is.....i'm sorry but it's still a good poem
